This spot provides superb service and enjoyable food. One of my favourite restaurants around town. The food came out quickly and the prices are fair. Recommended.

Always a good meal at Dozo. Fish is fresh, salmon is I'd say among the best in the area, and branch out and try some of the other food they offer, shockingly good sesame chicken.

You can taste the freshness in the sushi! Ordered takeout. Friendly service via phone and when we went in for pickup! We will be back!

One of the best Japanese restaurants, food quality comparable with some of the better NYC restaurants. We come here often as a family, with our kids enjoying the teriyaki chicken and vegetarian sushi rolls. For die-hard sushi fans the quality of sushi/sashimi is great (the salmon sashimi especially), and they do have an interesting variety of rolls.All in all, a nice comfortable local place that you will love coming to repeatedly.

Restaurant is clean, waiters were prompt and friendly, and the lunch specials were amazing in addition to being reasonably priced.

A modern take on sushi The sushi here is very fresh come here once I get off work and they never fail me.

Best sushi in Livingston / Short Hills / Chatham / Maplewood. Truth be told, the bar is not high, but this is the best of them.

Small and modern sushi restaurant with some of the freshest and tastiest fish I've had in New Jersey. Portions are generous. The staff here is always wonderful, so friendly and happy to see you. This is one of the best restaurants in Livingston!

It was absolutely delicious. Service was fast. Kani salad was presented nicely. And the spicy kani roll is on point. I definitely would return there.

Unassuming decor but probably the best sushi in the northern New Jersey area.

Very good attentive service and sushi was tasty. Miso soup was a tinge too salty but still tasty nevertheless!

Amazing Japanese food! Have NEVER had better vegetable tempura in my life! I’ve only ever done take-out - but the staff is always super sweet. Consistently good - even the cucumber rolls are little works of art. Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in NJ!

Its about time! The best fish in New Jersey! I am a sashimi snob and dined here Sunday night. The quality of the fish is beyond anything I have ever had in my 25 years living in Livingston! Compares to the best in NYC!! What a wonderful surprise. Great, original rolls, differently delicious appetizers and a staff that's eager to please. Prediction: They will double their space in less than a year. Cannot wait to go back again!

Dozo is my new favorite sushi restaurant. The quality is unparalleled in the area. I go here all the time now, whether I’m dining in or taking out. This place makes some of the most delicious food I’ve ever put in my mouth. My favorite rolls are the pink lady, spicy girl and kamikaze rolls, but everything I’ve had here has been great. You really can’t go wrong. I highly recommend Dozo to anyone looking for sushi or asian cuisine in the area. I will say that it can be a bit pricy for dinner, but their lunch specials are very reasonably priced.

We came to this place for dinner. my friend recommended this place. Well, it was very nice. we were warmly welcomed by the crew and we felt good. The meal was tasty. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was very pleasantly surprised At their lunch options. It was very busy and everything we ordered was great. The menu came with a salad and miso soup and was very filling. Will definitely come here again.
